Mapleton Community Crop Swap
Wed 20th Nov. at 9am. Crop swaps are a great source of new and interesting produce as well as a valuable source of information including recipes and tips on gardening. The best way to make contact and/or find out more, is to head along and say hello. They are a lovely bunch of people. One small ask, if you are taking along to share something you have made, please label it clearly and list the ingredients.
The Mapleton Crop Swap is held at TOSH in the pergola behind the Op Shop. Head along at 9am on the third Wednesday of the month.
Sculpture on the Edge
Fri 22nd Nov – Sun 1st Dec.Sculpture on the Edge is back again for another blockbuster Sunshine Coast Sculpture Competition at Flaxton Gardens. Sculpture on the Edge is the annual sculpture event coordinated by Arts Connect Inc and held in the scenic Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Enjoy live music while sipping on a barista made coffee. Our local Blackall Range Lions Club will be cooking up a storm with bacon and egg rolls and sausage sizzle.

Weekly from Mon 2nd Dec. The Mapleton Choir sing on Monday nights from 7pm-9pm at the Kureelpa Hall.

Mapleton Light the Lights
Fri 6th Dec. MADCA’s annual ‘Light the Lights’ will be held at the Mapleton Lilyponds Park on Friday 6th Dec. In the event of inclement weather, the event will move to the Mapleton State School.
We expect Santa to drop in and there will be entertainment provided, including Miss Donna & Mr Jay’s Magical Christmas Show, the Mapleton-based Sunshine Chimes and ‘Girl Friday’.

Bird Survey – Citizen Science
Mon 16th Dec. 7.00am (for approx 90mins) at the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. Come on a rainforest walk with a purpose! Bird enthusiast Rob Kernot facilitates the early morning seasonal bird surveys. This repeated citizen science event is an opportunity to contribute to an understanding of what birds frequent the reserve at different times of the year.
