Mapleton Country Market

The Mapleton Country Market is a monthly event held on the 4th Saturday of every month from 8am to 12pm at the Mapleton School Carpark.

The market features over 45 stalls offering a variety of goods, including seasonal organic produce, pizza bases, sourdoughs, pestos, jams, sauces, chutneys, Indigenous Bush Tucker Tea and relish, fruit trees, plants and seedlings, timber, jewellery, art, and crafts. Visitors can also enjoy delicious waffles in a variety of flavors, including strawberry, banana, and a new savory pumpkin, feta, and pesto option.

The market is run under the aegis of the local community association, MADCA, and is part of the Hinterland Market Trail, a collaborative effort involving eight other country markets on the Sunshine Coast.

The purpose of the Hinterland Market Trail is to support and promote local markets and communities by offering a central promotion space and referral point for locals and visitors wishing to explore several markets as part of a trail.

The Mapleton Country Market is a valuable asset for the community, providing a central gathering place that supports local businesses, promotes healthy eating habits, and fosters a sense of community and sustainability. The market features local vendors and businesses, which help support the local economy and encourage community entrepreneurship. It offers fresh produce and other goods that are sourced locally, promoting healthy eating habits and supporting local agriculture. The market also promotes sustainable practices, such as reducing packaging waste or promoting reusable bags, which can have a positive environmental impact.

Visitors to the market can also take in the majestic views at nearby scenic Mapleton Falls and Kondalilla National Parks as part of the Hinterland Great Walks. The Mapleton Country Market is a great opportunity to connect with the local community, support local businesses, and enjoy fresh produce and other goods.
